Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for fixed asset management
  • Prepare period-end adjustments for fixed assets
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual accounting presentations on fixed assets
  • Prepare and follow-up on analyses of different balance sheet accounts
  • Participate in budget tracking of investments
  • Responsible for fixed assets policy (i.e. update, maintain and respect)
  • Participate in the creation of the fixed assets module
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of processes
  • Participate in the annual audit file and all government audits
  • Any other ad hoc tasks requested by the Accounting Manager
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

 
You will have the following responsibilities in order to comply with the company's Occupational Health and Safety program:

  • Reporting hazards (such as unsafe situations and activities) to their supervisor immediately



Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and professional accounting designation (CPA, CA/CMA/CGA)
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Bilingual (written and spoken), French and English
  • Strong analytical and synthesizing skills
  • Organized and skilled at managing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong computer skills using MS Office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of ACCPAC, an asset
  • Able to carry out tasks independently and thoroughly
  • A team player
  • Proven ability to adapt and be flexible
  • Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Service, Excellence, Integrity & Together;
  • Demonstrates strong and visible support of our values
  • Position requires Controlled Goods Clearance and Level 2 Secret Clearance
