Top Aces Successfully Completes Joint Terminal Attack Controller Training for the German Army

Mesa, AZ – July 11, 2016 –Top Aces Corp. (“Top Aces”), a U.S. leader in high-performance contracted air services, recently completed German Army Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) training support. Top Aces TA-4J Skyhawks flew multiple sorties and successfully completed all scheduled JTAC training events for German Army personnel on training ranges near Boise, Idaho.

“It was extremely rewarding for Top Aces to support our German allies and coalition partners in their JTAC training syllabus”, said David Philman, Vice President, Top Aces. “In coordination with the Idaho Air National Guard JTACs, we were able to assist the German Army controllers to gain greater confidence in their ability to control Close Air Support assets in the high-speed, high-stress environment of Type 1 control.”

“We do highly appreciate the training possibilities with Top Aces here in the U.S. The favourable range options, the weather and the airspace size allow for a realistic training under conditions similar to Afghanistan,” said First Lieutenant Andreas Stemler, JTAC Luftwaffe. “Flying the A-4, Top Aces provide us with outstanding Close Air Support in a realistic airframe.”

Directed by controllers, Top Aces’ highly-experienced pilots flew Close Air Support missions, simulating the delivery of munitions in close proximity to friendly forces. Training in such a demanding environment allowed the controllers to gain valuable experience in directing and controlling simulated Close Air Support and other offensive air operations with high-speed fighter aircraft.

Top Aces and its parent company Discovery Air Defence, have the world’s largest privately-held, operational fleet of contract air support aircraft. The training provided is tailored to support the operational readiness of both current and future generation fighter aircraft and warfighters.

Discovery Air Defence Fighter Pilots Achieve Career Milestones in Flying Experience

Montreal, May 25, 2016 – Discovery Air Defence Services Inc (“DA Defence”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Discovery Air Inc., recently celebrated significant pilot flight hour milestones on the company’s Alpha Jet, A-4N Skyhawk, and Westwind aircraft.

Two DA Defence pilots each surpassed 3,000 flight hours on the Alpha Jet, becoming the first two pilots in North America to achieve this impressive feat, representing approximately 10 years in a full-time line pilot flying position. The individual milestones were achieved during recent deployments to Florida in support of Canada-U.S. military exercises. In addition to 3,000 hours logged on the Alpha Jet, the two fighter pilots are also highly experienced CF-18 Fighter Weapons Instructors – Top Guns – with thousands of hours on the Hornet.

DA Defence celebrates flight hour milestones at each 1,000 hour interval, and recently commended the 12th DA Defence pilot on reaching the 2,000 hour milestone on the Alpha Jet. In Germany, the team is celebrating the recent achievement of the 2,000 hour mark in the A-4N Skyhawk.

“In 10 years, our pilots have accumulated an impressive volume of flight hours providing contracted services”, said James “Preston” Manning, Vice President of iCATS, DA Defence. “It’s no exaggeration to say that we have some of the world’s most experienced fighter pilots, their professionalism and airmanship is acknowledged and valued greatly by our customers.”

“These are significant milestones for any fighter pilot and are indicative of the deep, deep experience within DA Defence” said Paul Bouchard, President of DA Defence. “To put this into context, our pilots have each flown thousands more CATS hours than some entire companies in our industry. I wish to thank all of our pilots for their dedication to safely providing excellent service to our customers and congratulate all of them on these important achievements.”

DA Defence and its U.S. subsidiary, Top Aces, have the world’s largest privately-held, operating fleet of combat aircraft. Discovery Air Defence Participates in Dissimilar Air Combat Training Exercise in Canary Islands

Montreal, April 6, 2016 – Discovery Air Defence Services Inc. (“DA Defence”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Discovery Air Inc., recently deployed aircraft from Wittmundhafen, Germany to participate in the annual Dissimilar Air Combat Training (“DACT”) exercise hosted by the Spanish Air Force at Gando Air Base, Canary Islands.

Flying embedded with German Air Force Eurofighter squadrons, DA Defence A-4N Skyhawks joined units on exercise for air combat training with different fighter aircraft, including F-16, F-18 and Mirage 2000. Discovery Air Defence Completes Successful Deployment in Support of Royal Canadian Air Force at Exercise Combat Archer

Montreal, February 17, 2016 – Discovery Air Defence Services Inc. (“DA Defence”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Discovery Air Inc.,  the world’s largest provider of tactical adversary services, recently deployed with Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) CF-18s to Exercise Combat Archer at Tyndall Air Force Base.

DA Defence Alpha Jets executed numerous Red Air missions providing dissimilar air combat training for CF-18, F-22, F-35, and F-15 aircrew during a three-week deployment in Florida, which ended on February 5.

“They [DA Defence pilots] are Canadian-trained and are some of our most qualified pilots – utmost professionals,” said Lieutenant-Colonel Dave Turenne, Commander of 425 Squadron. “Those guys are going to do exactly what we need them to do, by providing the presentations and understanding the exact things we’re looking for in training,” he added.

“Anytime we get contracted Red Air, everybody likes it. It’s an extra tactical challenge to solve. The jets, the electronic attack, the low flying and just their experience as aircrew add to the complexity of the mission.” said Lieutenant Colonel Matt Bradley, Commander of 83rd Fighter Weapons Squadron. “For the young pilots with 50 to 100 hours in the jets, they’re building all their experience and the [Alpha] jets are something else they haven’t seen before.”

“Our participation in Combat Archer affirms the continued confidence and trust by Canada and the U.S. in the value of embedded adversary training that our capabilities, people and experience provide. We contribute to the combat readiness of the finest fighter pilots in the world and I’m very proud of our accomplishments at Combat Archer,” remarked Paul Bouchard, President of DA Defence.
