Student Operations Assistant

Location: Montreal, Quebec

Job Type: Full-time Temporary, 4 months

  • Flight Following
  • Assist with Coordinating and managing all aspects of individual call ups, including:
       o    Assist in mission planning with senior Operations Coordinators
       o    Assist with FBO setup: negotiate fees for fuel/ramp/GPU/oxygen
       o    Assist in pre-deployment meetings, Minute taking and prepare for distribution
       o    Assist with travel bookings for pilots and other personnel
       o    Track fuel receipts & log cards
       o    Assist in planning ferry flights to reposition aircraft: routing & weather support
       o    Assist with Customs/CANPASS
       o    Assist all Coordinators with last minute changes 
  •  Assist with billing Quality Assurance
  • Photocopying and preparation of invoices
  • Replace and organize Navigation publications during each cycle.
  • Filing of invoices and mission files
  • Assist with occasional projects within the Ops Support Group
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

  • Following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment
  • Reporting hazards (such as unsafe situations and activities) to their supervisor immediately

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Aviation experience or education strongly desired
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Computer literate, Microsoft & email applications
  • Team player
  • Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Safety, Teamwork, Focus, Innovation and Integrity
  • Demonstrates strong and visible support of our values
  • Must be able and willing to obtain “Secret” security clearance from the Canadian Government
  • Position requires Secret Level  2 Security Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
